I have to say, it’s a pretty darn encouraging review. She thinks I have style and humor. I like her, she’s a good judge of character.
Terms of Engagement
It seems my writing is ok, but I need to engage all of you a bit more. Good advice. I’ll try to do that more often. I’m kinda stumped on how to go about that. Does that mean I should be more open to comments? I love comments. Can’t get enough of ‘em. (No really, I don’t have enough. Please leave a comment!) Should I ask more questions? How would you do it? (Ha! It’s working already.
)
About Time
I don’t have enough content on my about page either. I’m not really sure what to put on my about page. I have trouble with that. I’m just not sure how to describe myself. It’s not like I have a list of accomplishments to add to the page, I’m no Internet Entrepreneur. I’m just some guy writing a blog. Anyone got some advice for me on that?
Oh, and if you want to write up a review yourself, feel free. I could use some good blogging advice.

Got something to say?

LOL. Funny.
Exactly right! You just did engage the reader more, by addressing them directly and asking them to participate.
About. Nothing specific, just something. Where are you from, where have you been, why do you blog, what is your goal for the blog, that kind of stuff.
I guess I’m used to being around people that will give you their opinion, whether you want it or not. Yeah, I’m still learning.
I’ve been giving the about page some thought. I’m going to try to add stuff to it soon.
Thanks again for the review.
I’ve tried to “engage” the readers, but I seldom get comments on the posts I expect them on. I try to respond to something when I go visit other bloggers, because every blogger loves comments, right?
Good point Tina. You never know what will start a debate.
I try to leave comments when I can. That backfired tonight.
In my other blogging life (in 2 places), I had no trouble getting comments or hate mail or hate comments, and even had some supporting ones… but I was talking about a couple of really hot issues. I got megahits, and still do when I update them from time to time when there is news on said hot topics.
Now I am trying my hand at intermittently blogging whatevertheheckIwant on a myspace page. I’m fine with getting really low traffic for now…especially until I can get a rhythm going (not to be confused with the rhythm method, a hot topic which I apparently failed). I like your style, Jason…you write the way you speak. So I can hear you in my mind when I read your posts. Don’t change too much guy, just tweak what you need to, and keep posting.
Thanks Patty.
I do need to tweak a few things. Mostly my posting schedule on FanaticSpace. Here I don’t mind so much, but I really need to get back to work on FS now that the Holidays are over.
Oh, and as for hearing me speak…
Uh oh. I thought my writing was better than that. >_<
